How are funds awarded?
Individuals complete and submit their application to The At Home Group. Our staff then replies to each request within one month of receiving the application.

Each application contains an important goal-setting section. An individual’s answers to this portion of the form help the At Home Group staff determine if our services will support these goals.

Business Start-up applicants must additionally complete and submit our business plan and budget forms along with the basic application.

How much assistance is available?
The At Home Group assistance program is designed to help individuals who have already made reasonable efforts to obtain funding, including public funds.
We offer three levels of assistance:

Work-related expense assistance from $200-$500
Home-based business start up funds up to $2,000
Job training tuition assistance up to $1,200
All approvals are based on our available resources. The At Home Group does not offer loans.

Can the money be awarded directly and/or up front?
Grant recipients who wish to purchase an item or service must request approval from the Executive Director or Advisory Committee through the application process prior to the purchase. The At Home Group does not offer reimbursements for previously completed payments or purchases.

Employment expense assistance checks will be written directly to the vendor or service provider. Cash will not be given to either the applicant or the vendor.

Can a person who has already received At Home Group funds reapply for assistance?
